The 6th Annual State of the Art Ball
Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Science Museum of Virginia from 6:00 pm-11:00 pm
The 6th annual state of the art ball is being planned! This year’s theme is “When in Rome, Baby!” We hope that you can join us this year to support our continuing efforts to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
Last years event was a huge success raising over $120,000. We’re hoping to exceed that amount at this years event. Funds from the event assist the campaign that was started in March, 2006 by the Hayes Hitzeman Foundation: the This Side Up…While Sleeping Campaign (www.thissideupcampaign.org). The campaign is bringing awareness to families throughout central Virginia by providing educational onesies to all new parents in the Governor’s New Parent Kit, which is given at the hospital. Next year we would like all Virginian parents to be given onesies- and eventually parents nationwide!
